At CRCLE, we believe that conscious design lies in the details. That’s why we carefully consider even the smallest elements, like buttons.
We use a variety of responsibly sourced or crafted buttons, ensuring they align with our values of circularity and mindful production.
HANDCRAFTED METAL BUTTONS
Our metal buttons are handmade by master artisans in Kutch, Gujarat. Each button is individually shaped and detailed from durable metals like german silver and brass. They feature a natural, hand-hammered finish that gives them a distinct vintage character. Because they are crafted by hand no two buttons are exactly alike, adding a truly authentic and unique touch to our garments.
COROZO BUTTONS
Corozo buttons are made from the nut of the Tagua palm, often referred to as "vegetable ivory" for its smooth texture and durability.
Corozo buttons are also highly receptive to dyes, allowing for rich, vibrant colours without the need for harmful chemicals.
A natural and renewable material, corozo is biodegradable, making it a sustainable alternative to plastic — adding both character and conscience to our garments.
HORN BUTTONS
Our horn buttons are crafted from agricultural and dairy industry byproducts, repurposing a natural material that would otherwise go to waste. Made entirely of organic keratin, they are 100% biodegradable at the end of the garment's life, leaving zero synthetic pollution behind.
They perfectly embody circular design, diverting waste, lasting for decades, and eventually returning safely to the earth.
VINTAGE BUTTONS
We source discarded metal buttons from factories and manufacturing units, giving new life to materials that would otherwise go to waste.
These surplus or rejected buttons are often in perfect condition and are carefully selected to complement our designs. By repurposing existing resources, we reduce the demand for new production and help minimize industrial waste.
